Why Build Beds?

What is Sleep In Heavenly Peace?

Sleep in Heavenly Peace had its start like many other charities, in a garage. It was Christmas time, a time of joy and happiness, a time of giving and love, but also a time of bitter, cold weather and snowstorms. A project, that was started with the build of one bed for a single family developed into something a whole lot more. The wood left over from the first bunk, another idea was created. “Who else could benefit from this bunk”?

SHP is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our federal ID is 46-4346568 in the United States. Download 501(c)3 document.

We need your help in 4 ways

Pray for the build and the kids who receive the beds.
Build with us. No experience is needed. Anyone from 12 and up can help sand, drill, and dip the beds.
Buy bedding and pillows for the kids in our area who will receive the beds. You can purchase twin-sized bedding and bring it in, or simply buy from our Amazon wishlist: See our Bedding Wishlist.
Donate: Bed builds cost about $10,000 with materials and equipment. If you want to donate funds to the project, you can on Sunday mornings and write “bed build” in the memo line. You can donate online and 100% of your donation will go toward the build.
